After the power tools are shipped, there is generally a break-in period of about 60 hours before use. Break-in period is to ensure the normal operation of construction machinery, reduce the failure rate and extend the service life of the main link. However, there are still some users lack of common sense in the use of power tools, there are also some users because of the tight schedule and neglected the special operating skills of the new machinery break-in period. Break-in period power tools are prone to failure for the following reasons.

1: fast wear and tear

Due to the new power tool parts processing, assembly and commissioning and other factors, the new equipment presents a rough friction surface, with a small surface contact area, the surface of the pressure state uneven and other characteristics. In the operation of the equipment, the concave and convex parts of the surface of the parts nested in each other friction, grinding down the metal debris as abrasive continued to participate in friction, accelerating the wear of the mating surface of the parts. Therefore, the equipment in the break-in period is easy to cause the wear and tear of parts. At this time, if the equipment overload operation, it may lead to the destruction of parts and early failure.

2: Poor lubrication

As the mating clearance of the parts of the new power tool is small, coupled with assembly and other reasons, it is difficult to ensure the uniformity of the mating clearance. Lubricant is not easy to form a uniform oil film on the friction surface, thus causing early abnormal wear of the machine parts. Seriously, it will cause scratching of the friction surface of the precision fit, leading to failure.
